Good morning to all. I hope Christmas was good to you all. Everything here is frosty this morning and its pretty cold. Its suppose to warm up and I actually hope it does so I can go ride.
Christmas was good here. I cooked most of the day and then we ate and ate and ate. After dinner I went and got the horses fed and the chores done and then came in and got ready to go to the movies. Its funny, Fred and I had never been to the movies together in the 20 years we have known each other, dated and been married. Kinda weird don't ya think? Anyway can't say that now. He got movie tickets for us to go see War Horse last night. It was a good movie but you certainly need Kleenex. Wish I had taken some. It makes you want to come home and immediately go give your horse and extra big hug. But it was good. Spielberg never fails to accomplish what he sets out to. We got some popcorn and a large drink to share as if we needed anything else to eat but who can go to the movies without getting popcorn? It was fun and I enjoyed it, except for the parts where I cried.
Christmas dinner was fabulous. We always deep fry our turkey and oh boy is it ever good. Fred got a nice deer for Christmas. Apparently on Christmas Eve he asked Santa for a nice big deer and well he got it. That set christmas dinner back a couple hours. He texted me said he had a deer and he would be late getting back to the house. I just laughed and said ok. Heck all the food reheats, right?
We didn't even have room for cookies and fudge. It was a beautiful day yesterday. It was warm enough to just wear a light jacket if you were going to be outside long and if you weren't you could just go out in a sweater. The sun shined very brightly.
Today its mostly cloudy, I hope that changes. I'd love to enjoy more of the sun today since I cooked most of the day yesterday.
I guess it will be time to pack up Christmas decorations for another year. Do I leave them up till New Years or put them away??? Oh well I guess I will put them away when teh moment strikes me to do so.
Here is to hoping that everyone is enjoying today and for those that HAD to return back to work today, I'm sorry.
